Discover how Eutop\u00eda was implemented in a charter school located in the Basque Country, Spain, which needed urgent solutions to the major challenge of competency-based assessment.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de las Mercedarias Leioa School, located in Bizkaia, faced a major assessment challenge. In 2021, the LOMLOE law came into effect,<\/span><\/a>requiring all schools in Spain to evaluate students based on a set of key competencies. Eutopia<\/a><\/span>Here\u2019s how, after implementing Eutop\u00eda, the school achieved incredible results.<\/span><\/p>\n We are used to following a traditional assessment system\u2014exams, assignments, and so on\u2014and stepping out of that comfort zone when it comes to evaluation is challenging for us,\u201d said Yolanda Jodra, Secondary Coordinator at the school.<\/span><\/p>\n The use of assessment rubrics, checklists, and other tools wasn\u2019t enough to meet the ambitious goals set by the LOMLOE. That\u2019s why the school needed to take<\/strong>a bold step forward and completely rethink the way they assessed their students.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t Mercedarias School in Leioa began using Eutop\u00eda at the start of the 2023-24 school year, in 6th grade of Primary and 1st and 2nd year of ESO.
